Numerous tourist offers exist within a radius of 100 km. The nature between the Hohburg Mountains in the Mulde Valley, the Leipzig Lowland Bay, the Ore Mountains and Saxon Switzerland is just as inviting as the major cities of Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz with their diverse cultural and art scene. It would take years to visit all the highlights, which can be reached within one to two hours by car.
The vacation home itself is located in the low-traffic historic center of the 3,500-year-old village of Großzschepa, right next to the 1000-year-old churchyard and the Rittergutspark. Local and regional tourist offers harmoniously complement the stay. From festivities in the local history museum to the annual summer festival of the manor association to concerts in Wurzen Cathedral and the workshop for creative biographical writing at the Ringelnatz Association Wurzen. Kaolingrube and numerous quarries are reminders of the region's industrial past, as is the Stone Workers' House. Modern sites of industrial culture and Leipzig's stimulating art and music scene are inviting.
By the way: In 2023, Großzschepa celebrates its 800th anniversary of the first documentary mention and 100 years of the Großzschepa volunteer fire department. Celebrate with us!
